Kids reveals kindness in the direction of Cedar Creek Wombat Rescue

The sweets company Kinder proves that they really deserve to have the word art on their behalf as they have made an important contribution to Cedar Creek Wombat Rescue.

The contribution will support the rehabilitation of native animals in areas of the Hunter Valley region affected by bush fires.

The $ 30,000 donation to children will fund a new hospital facility equipped with special surgical equipment and three intensive care units. These improvements mean that the Cedar Creek team can continue to provide an important service for native animals. Expand the recovery program for injured or displaced wombats and increase capacity for other endangered wildlife.

"The generous donation from children means so much to us here in Cedar Creek," said Roz Holme, founder of Cedar Creek Wombat Rescue.

"With their support, we can start working on a new hospital facility that will save more wombats and injured animals."

The contribution is part of the ongoing partnership between children and the Australian Wildlife Society, which has provided more than $ 100,000 in vital funds to support communities across Australia and New Zealand.

In 2019 alone, Lismore's children helped friends of the koala, supported the work of Wombats SA to protect southern wombats with their hairy noses, and funded protection programs for New Zealand's legendary kiwi, as well as raising awareness of endangered tree kangaroos in Queensland.

"The Natoons range of children aims to playfully promote awareness and education for endangered animals," said Marta Bako, head of the children's brand.

"We are incredibly proud of our partnership with AWS, which enables us to help community groups like Cedar Creek protect the unique wildlife of Australia."

To celebrate the partnership with AWS, Kinder Surprise is giving away 1500 Natoons adventure board games in a limited edition. Until July 31, parents can take the chance to win one of 50 NATO games every day.
