Hygiene, sustainability, AI and future safety are within the foreground at Frankfurt Texcare 2021

INTERNATIONAL

Texcare International from November 27 to December 1, 2021 in Frankfurt am Main is one of the first international trade fairs for textile care after the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. Accordingly, the sector has great expectations of it as a source of important impetus for the resumption of business and has dealt with the four important pillars of hygiene, sustainability, AI and future security.

Hygienic: Safety and well-being thanks to hygienic textiles

Textile care companies have always been specialists in the hygienic dry cleaning and washing of textiles. As a result of the pandemic, this topic has shifted into the focus of customers. Now, textile care companies can use this knowledge to market their expertise more effectively. Therefore, after the new beginning, the industry expects a growing demand in the field of textile hygiene not only in the healthcare sector, but also in the hotel and tourism sectors. Accordingly, Texcare International will be an important hub for innovations in textile hygiene at the end of the year – from disinfection processes for textile cleaning to hygienic washing methods and detergents to new documentary aspects and antiviral finishing of textiles during the washing phase.

Sustainable: circular economy and reusable solutions in the focus of the Green Deal

The use of textiles in healthcare – from surgical gowns, sheets and masks to linen – is an important step towards greater sustainability through the circular economy model: Reusable products lead to less waste. With durable, wear-resistant textiles, gentle washing processes and efficient repair services, the textile services sector makes a significant contribution to the circular economy required by the EU as part of the Green Deal. New at Texcare International is the focus on textile recycling and environmentally friendly packaging. Waste water management, energy efficiency and heat recovery continue to play an important role in the company's premises.

Smart: AI and digitization are revolutionizing textile care

By monitoring processes in real time and intelligently networking them, energy efficiency can be increased significantly. Digitization and automation are already widespread in textile care. With the help of artificial intelligence, the flow of goods and data is now to be further optimized and the customer interface improved so that companies can track their laundry at any time and check the process used. As the driving force of digitization, the pandemic has shown how important innovations are in intelligent solutions in order to stay fit for the future. Machine and system manufacturers therefore expect Texcare International to generate additional investments in their products. However, digitization is not only changing the processes themselves. It is also revising the customer dialogue and creating new learning and training opportunities.

Future-proof: successful business models and lessons from the pandemic

Textile care is in itself a future-proof business model: Textiles always have to be cleaned or washed. Nevertheless, the industry was hit hard by the collapse of the business, not only in the hotel and tourism sector, but also in the private customer segment. How can companies make sure they are forward-looking and what lessons can be learned from the pandemic? Will the crisis be a driving force for innovation and what will successful business models look like tomorrow? Texcare International and the Texcare Forum provide the framework for a discussion. Texcare International's product range includes machines, systems, cleaning agents, cleaning agents, IT, logistics solutions, work clothes and laundry.
