ALDI Australia drops its first-ever streetwear launch

ALDI Australia’s first-ever own branded streetwear collection including slides, sneakers, jumpers and more hit the middle aisles around the country on 13 April.

Known for serving up some “serious savings on your weekly shop”, ALDI Australia is releasing its first ever own brand of loungewear, ALDImania, so customers can also serve with “effortlessly chic, casual looks for less”.

ALDI Australia’s fresh new collection has all the loungewear and streetwear essentials. The new limited-edition ALDImania collection features 23 items all under $20 – including stylish slides ($7.99), bucket hats and beanies ($7.99), fleece hoodies ($14.99), and even crisp white sneakers ($19.99).

Those in the know about ALDI’s hottest Special Buys can take the ‘run, don’t walk’ approach literally and in style with a pair of slick sneakers, while those who prefer to strut down the aisles can slip on some matching slides (worn with matching sports socks for extra cred, obvs). And for shoppers looking for a new emotional support water bottle, the double insulated mug is guaranteed to become your new best friend.

ALDI Australia Buying Director for ALDImania Belinda Grice says: “We have been offering our shoppers high-quality, affordable loungewear for years, but this is the first time we’ve brought our own brand of leisurewear to the middle aisles.

“Designed to celebrate and champion our shoppers, this new range is made specifically with ALDI budgets in mind, without compromising on quality or comfort.

“This unique collection that contains sustainably sourced or recycled materials, has been crafted to create a mix-and-match aesthetic, so customers can inject their own sense of styling around the range!” she said.

To celebrate the release of the fresh looks, ALDI Australia will be giving away five sets to its stylish shoppers via ALDI Australia Facebook Group. The competition opens on April 3.
