Most of us want to improve our sustainability measures. However, research shows that we are still not sure how this all works.
A quarter of the nation admits they have limited knowledge about recycling and soft plastic recycling.
Research commissioned by Kelloggs Australia shows that 85% of the nation is unaware that soft plastics like grain feed can be recycled.
Additionally, 90% of Aussies admit that they would be more comfortable recycling if they had a better understanding of where the plastics are going.
"Australians want to recycle, but with so much information it can be overwhelming and confusing," said Tamara Howe, director of corporate affairs and general manager at Kellogg in New Zealand.

"Our research shows that 69% of the nation believes that their lack of knowledge is actually preventing them from recycling."
Kellogg & # 39; s Australia works with REDCycle and Replas to raise awareness of the fact that soft plastics can be recycled, and inspire Aussies and Keys to Soft Plastic Recycling to create sustainable planters from recycled soft plastics.
The sustainable planters will be donated in December to freshen up the community garden at New Lambton South Public School in Newcastle.

Kellogg's granola liner can be recycled along with other soft plastics through the REDCycle recycling initiative, where plastic packaging is collected every week in the REDCycle bins in Coles and Woolworths.
