Auburn Central Mall in West Sydney has initiated its "Great Future Transformation".
Retail specialist Mainbrace Constructions delivered the renovation to the 9,500 m² center with a full upgrade and 19 new retail rentals.
The project for the owner Elanor Investors Group and the project manager Kaipara Property Group included the conversion of a former Big W lease into a new "best-in-class" ALDI business. Auburn Central also now has a Tong Li supermarket and upscale food court, new shopping malls, and new amenities like a lobby area and nursing rooms.
In addition, existing shopping centers, access roads and parking lots in the center were modernized. Other new services include chillers, mechanical services, electrical services, loading dock, travelator and a fire upgrade.
With a supposedly high pedestrian zone of around 12 million people per year, Auburn Central is advertised as a popular convenience center next to a large train station.
Mainbrace is believed to have delivered the construction work for the "strategic refurbishment" of Auburn Central under a contract valued at approximately $ 14 million.
“Auburn Central is a popular hub that is integrated into a busy transportation hub,” said Rob Doust, chief executive officer of Mainbrace.
“Despite the challenges and constraints of this busy environment, Mainbrace has structured the major renovation to minimize disruption to existing businesses and operations at the adjacent train station.
“The renovation of Auburn Central offers visitors an upscale shopping experience and makes the center future-proof for many years to come. It is a significant addition to our NSW retail portfolio and we are proud to deliver another high quality project for the Elanor Investors Group. "
