Uber and Reckitt Benckiser (RB) team up to make sure drivers can travel safely and trust Dettol's protection to stop germs from spreading.
The new partnership announced today offers Uber access to hygiene kits to create a cleaner and healthier world. This additional investment from Uber is another initiative to ensure that drivers using the Uber app can equip their vehicles with hand disinfectants and disinfectants for free.
These free kits are part of Uber's $ 50 million global commitment to providing equipment for clean and hygienic rides. This makes Uber the only carpool in Australia that provides disinfectants and disinfectants for every trip.
Delivery partners who use the Uber Eats app are offered kits consisting of Dettol disinfectant wipes and Dettol hand sanitizers, or can request a disinfectant reimbursement so Australians can safely order a trip or delivery of grocery requests.
"When cities open up again and people turn to Uber to get around, we want to help people move with confidence," said Dom Taylor, general manager of Uber Australia.
“We are very excited to be working with RB to ensure that our partners have free access to the disinfection products they need.
"This initiative is free of charge for drivers or driver partners."
Henry Turgoose, Marketing Director of RB Health AUS, says: “As government travel restrictions begin to subside, many Australians are considering their transportation options while taking hygiene practices into account.
"The Uber app plays an important role in getting many of us from A to B, and we are excited to offer germ protection to both driver partners and drivers using the Uber app now and beyond the restrictions. "
The kits include:
Dettol Instant Hand Sanitiser, which kills 99.9% of germs without water. The rinse-free, non-sticky formula is a practical solution for people who need protection on the go and on the way to work. Dettol disinfectant wipes also kill 99.9% of bacteria on hard, non-porous surfaces and protect driver partners and drivers by preventing germs from spreading.
