Materials:

  • towel
  • plug
  • screwdriver
  • Adjustable wrench
  • Tap the washing machine
  • wire wool

Manual:

1. Protect your bathroom or sink

Before you start working, you should insert the plug to prevent small objects from being lost – e.g. Screws or a wedding ring. It's also ideal to put a towel in your bathroom or basin to protect it in case you accidentally drop tools in it – all you want to do is replace your wash basin and not take out a brand new bath or basin.

2. Turn off the water

Regardless of whether you need access to your water supply or just use your shutoff valve, you need to make sure the water is turned off. We recommend that you also turn on your kitchen tap to ensure that any remaining water is drained from your installation system.

3. Disassemble the tap

Use a flat-head screwdriver to remove the top of the tap. A screw is probably attached to the tap head. After loosening the screw, remove the head of the tap and expose the valve. Now open the valve with your wrench.

Note: If you have difficulty reversing the process, you can hold the spout at any time for additional support.

4. Replace the washer

After removing the valve, you can see the worn washer – the cause of all your problems – in the meat. Loosen the screw that secures the old washer and discard it before replacing it with a shiny new washer of the same size.

5. Reassemble the tap

After installing your new washing machine, you need to reassemble the tap. Reinstall the screw that secures the washer to the tap shaft. If you want, you can also wipe the faucets inside and out with a little wool to remove any build-up of lime.

To reassemble the faucet, you must put the valve back in the seat of the faucet and tighten it with your wrench. Then you can put the head of the tap over the valve and secure it by turning the head clockwise.

6. Put the water back on

Finally, all you have to do is turn on the main water supply or turn the valve under the sink before you no longer wash dirty hands or fill up the bathtub to cool off after a hot day.
