Toilets are one of the most common units in your home. A toilet normally has a lifespan of 10-15 years and can withstand a lot during this time. However, if you constantly have problems with the toilet, it is better to have it completely replaced! It is best to pay for a new installation than constantly worrying about it being fixed. We mentioned 6 warning signs that will determine if it's time to install a new toilet.

1. Constant repairs

If you find yourself in a deplorable situation frequently, consider getting your toilet repaired. Recurring problems with your toilet can be annoying. They are also harmful to your family health. This can also lead to more problems and costs in the long run. You can save some of that money by installing a new toilet instead of having it repaired year round.

2. Constantly running and leaking wash tank

One of the most common problems with a damaged toilet is constant running and leaking. This can be a sign of internal damage to part of the toilet. However, some damaged toilets may stop working after being flushed. You have to be careful though. It is still a sign of damage and wasted water. Because of this, you may also notice a leak in the toilet's flush tank. Repairing your toilet is only a temporary solution. You should install a new one to avoid this problem.

3. Problem with flushing, blocked or overflowing toilet

Clogged toilets are very common and a plunger could help with the problem. But recurring clogging means something is wrong and you should have a professional check it out. If you're also having trouble flushing or continually overflowing the toilet, this indicates a low water level due to clogged pipes and outdated toiletries. A full replacement of your toilet ensures cleaner pipes and properly functioning hardware.

4. Cracks in the tank or bowl

If you notice a puddle of water every time you go to the toilet, there is a high chance that it isn't a simple leak. There may be cracks in the bowl or in the tank. To see if it does, you can use some dye and add it to the tank (or bowl) and see if it reaches the bottom. Your toilet may be working properly regardless of the cracks. However, it can waste a lot of water and damage the toilet floor over time. You should hire a plumber to fix the problem or buy a new toilet to prevent further damage.

5. Unstable toilet

If you find that your toilet has become wobbly and unstable, hire a plumber to make sure all parts are secured. You don't want injuries. If the problem persists, the cause may be in the floor under your toilet. Constant leakage can cause the soil to become damp and rot, creating an unsuitable surface for your troubles to rest on. Diagnosis by a plumber can be costly. In this situation, it is better to install a new toilet to make sure that the leakage does not stop.

6. High Water Bill

Damaged (or old) toilets have to work harder to finish their job. So you use more water. If you've noticed your water bill is high lately, get your toilet inspected. However, installing a new toilet can save you money on your water bill.

If you observe any of these signs, you should consult a plumber. Please remember that installing a new toilet can save you money, protect your family and add value to your bathroom.
