Showcasing a selection of the Sunshine Coast’s finest food producers, more than 30 Locavore suppliers will be available to speak to customers as they sample their offering.
A giant Locavore hamper giveaway valued at more than $600 is also on offer.
White’s IGA Group Director Roz White says, “Our Locavore markets support the Sunshine Coast’s thriving local food scene. It’s been over two years since our last event due to the challenges that came with the pandemic and while this was a difficult time, we know it also shined a light on the diverse and delicious range of fresh, local, artisan products produced right here on the Sunshine Coast.
“There’s a real energy behind locals supporting locals, and there is a real sense of pride in being able to enjoy the beautiful food and products that are being grown and manufactured right here on our doorstep,” Ms White said.
“We’re incredibly excited to have a fresh opportunity to showcase the best of our region in a setting that enables our customers to touch, feel and taste what they are buying.”
The market will include taste-testing, demonstrations and Q&A time with the producers and stallholders. Woombye Cheese, Pepe Leon, Bee-Man, Coyo and local success story Kokopod are among the featured local suppliers.
