The Nescafé Blend 43 team has partnered with Rotary Australia to launch Nestlé Professional's brand new “Celebrate Australia” campaign to promote the community spirit of six popular Australian cities.
The six regional cities of Mallacoota (Victoria), Broken Hill (NSW), Toowoomba (Queensland), Busselton (WA), Willunga (SA) and Strahan (Tasmania) have been selected by Nestlé Professional for the new limited-edition 1kg cans of Nescafé Blend 43 as part of the new Celebrate Community Spirit Collection.
“After a tough few years, we thought it was the right time to appreciate the essence of what we love about Australia. The community spirit strengthens and enriches Aussies in good, bad and uncertain times, ”says Scott Stuckmann, Business Executive Officer of Nestlé Professional Oceania.
"Each city was chosen because it embodies the community spirit, the feeling of togetherness and what it means to be Australian."
The illustration of each can underlines the community spirit of the city. Designs range from a community banding together in the event of a natural disaster, to local sporting events that have resulted in international recognition, to celebrating local food, wine, and art.
“With this campaign, we hope to give the workers across the country a little courage, who drink a coffee every day at their workplaces and tea rooms,” says Stuckmann.
Local Rotary clubs in the six cities each received a $ 5,000 grant from Nestlé Professional to invest in a community initiative important to each city. Nescafé Blend 43 has also given selected Rotary clubs over 190 cans each, which the club can resell or donate to the local community, with profits retained by each club.
A mixed selection of Nescafé Blend 43's 1kg cans with the six Australian cities is available from wholesale offices and foodservice outlets including Bidfood, NAFDA, Countrywide, PFD, Campbells, Winc and Blackwoods (MSRP $ 40).
Nescafé Blend 43 has been enjoyed by Australian communities for over 80 years and is “proudly made with Australian community spirit” in Gympie, Queensland. In the past 12 months, the Gympie factory has produced nearly 2 billion cups of Nescafé Blend 43.
