Natural snack assault

The vegan cheese brand BioCheese has expanded its range to include a snack line with vegetable delicatessen slices.

The new lines include the Cheddar Flavor Slices from BioCheese as well as “never before seen clean label deli slices based on plants” in the varieties mild salami and ham. There are also gluten-free brown rice crackers.

Available in select Woolworths stores across the country, the line was launched this month in response to growing consumer demand for convenient, plant-based products. The new lines complement the brand's existing snack product – BioCheese Cheddar and Cracker Snack Pack.

CEO Vicky Pappas says BioCheese hopes to expand the range's availability to other stores soon.

“The long-term success of BioCheese is based on the fact that the wishes and needs of our consumers are in the foreground. This has enabled us to consistently be the first on the market with innovative, value-oriented products in the dairy-free area, ”she says.

"The introduction of additional snack options, including our own tasty and functional plant-based delicacies, was a natural extension of the brand."

BioCheese is also launching its first vintage-style product. This product is described as "deliciously crumbly and with protein" and will also be available in select Woolworths stores nationwide.

“We are proud to partner with Woolworths to bring these products to market. Together we are committed to increasing the availability of plant-based products – the future of food. "
