This is a quick hack that will allow you to transport a casserole anywhere without spilling it
How one:
- Trying to bring a casserole to a party can lead to disaster if it spills. This simple hack will prevent that from happening.
- Choose a dish with handles and a lid for cooking.
- As soon as the casserole is ready to transport, put the lid on it.
- Take 2 sturdy large rubber bands and hook a rubber band around the button on top of the lid.
- Stretch it around the handle on one side of the casserole.
- Repeat the same process with the other rubber band hooking it around the handle on the other side.
- The rubber bands hold the lid tight and without spilling.
Linda says:
I've found this to work great when you take a pot anywhere. I often cook in a pan and then slide the food into my pot for transport. This allows me to just plug it in when I get there to keep the food warm.
