America & # 39; s Best Cleaners Leadership Forums, held once a month for the past four months, have become a safe haven for any interested party in the global dry cleaning industry to virtually meet and listen to a curated group of speakers who share their insights and perspectives on the challenges of doing business during the Covid-19 pandemic. The fourth forum, held virtually in early December, highlighted the value and need for strategic thinking, leadership, and positivity.
Entrant Bobby Patel from Kona Cleaners left each forum with valuable new perspectives that he then applies to his own business. “The ABC Leadership Forums were very helpful in hearing and understanding current perspectives from panelists from colleagues and vendors across the country. The forum is the perfect place to hear new, refreshing ideas about what my business colleagues are doing to not only survive but thrive. “He raved.
Patel also noted that sometimes the little moments stand out the most – in this case the relentless positivity of the panelists. “On the previous forum, I particularly enjoyed listening to Tony help another cleaner by cleaning his clothes for free. Very refreshing to see our industry come together in these times. "
Art Buckland from Nor’east Cleaners was also impressed with the positive attitude. “The forums are exceptionally well-run, upbeat, and always up to date. The dry cleaning industry executives who Chris and Catherine recruit to attend each event are inspiring, practical, educational, and always valuable. It's an excellent use of time for any owner in the textile care industry. "
Catherine McCann, Partner and Director of Operations at America & # 39; s Best Cleaners and CEO of Best Cleaners, usually helps run any forum. This time she was also on the panel. Their insights, combined with those of Tony Stephen from Tower Cleaners, Tom Stites from Unipress Corporation, James Peuster from The Route Pros, and Mary Scalco from DLI, offered all participants different perspectives.
"It was interesting to be on the panel this month. I was much more aware of the participants and worried that they were getting what they expected from me. I also had the feeling that it was going too fast. There is so much more to say on strategy. " Leadership we just didn't get to. "Said McCann.
Chris White, partner and general manager of America & # 39; s Best Cleaners, also brought some valuable takeaways. “This extraordinary group of panelists really sets the tone as we kick off the new year. The message that resonated with me is that we, as managers, have to define the vision for our new business model, communicate this clearly with our teams, and enable ourselves and our teams to achieve achievable goals. We can no longer look back on times before Covid. We have to go forward. I really appreciated the optimism of all panelists and the positive energy they bring to their company and community on a daily basis. "
The next forum will take place on Wednesday, February 10th at 4:00 p.m. EST / 1:00 p.m. PST. Visit https://www.americasbestcleaners.com/leadershipforum/ to register your interest in attending or to receive videos from previous events.
