JSG Chairman Invoice Shannon will retire in Might

The Johnsons Service Group (JSG) announced the resignation of Chairman William (Bil) Shannon in May, the appointment of non-executive director / chairman John (Jock) Fyfe Lennox, and the announcement of the trade update ahead of the close.

The announcement came when William (Bill) Shannon, chairman of Johnson Service Group PLC, informed the JSG board of directors of his intention to step down from the board after the company's general meeting in May.

Lennox's appointment to the Board of Directors as an independent non-executive director became effective January 5th. From the same date, Lennox will also take on the role of Chairman-designate and will take on the role of Chairman after the 2021 Annual General Meeting in May.

JSG stated: “With his extensive experience as a non-executive director and his financial background, Lennox is a valuable addition to the JSG Board of Directors. Jock is a Chartered Accountant and has worked in a number of industrial and consumer sectors, including support services, both as an executive at Ernst & Young LLP (“EY”) and as a non-executive director. "

Lennox, 64, is currently the non-executive director and chairman of the audit committee of Barratt Developments PLC. He was previously chairman of Enquest PLC and Hill & Smith Holdings PLC. He has also served on the boards of directors of Dixons Carphone PLC, Oxford Instruments PLC and A&J Mucklow Group PLC.

Pre-close trade update

The group also announces that it intends to release a pre-close trading update in the week beginning January 11th.
