Pete Evans product recalled

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) is recalling Pete Evans Health Everyday Jamaican Simmer Sauce 330g.

As stated on the FSANZ website, the product was available from independent grocers such as IGA in NSW, Qld and SA.

It was also available at health food stores in NSW, Qld and Vic, pharmacies in NSW and Qld, and online grocers in Australia.

Why is the product being recalled?

The recall is due to incorrect packaging (Thai Green Curry Sauce 330g, which is incorrectly labeled Jamaican Simmer Sauce 330g), which led to the presence of an undeclared allergen (fish).

The FSANZ website recommends that consumers with an allergy or intolerance to seafood should not consume this product.

The website also states that customers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
