Spotlight shopper traits at COVID-19

While many companies have suffered a little (or a lot) from COVID-19, there are some companies that have been absolutely successful.

With most people locked out and having to engage in non-standard activities to converse, this means that these particular companies have increased their sales tenfold.

The shipping company Verus Global has not slowed the shipping of overseas goods and has seen an increase in certain goods that were not as common before COVID.

Jackson Meyer, CEO of Verus Global and award-winning entrepreneur, shares his most interesting observations on consumer trends.

Renovate

Verus has seen many furniture stocks on the way to Australia, so some furniture customers are out of stock and have made large repeat orders – which means Aussies have taken the time to redecorate their living space.

Aussies get creative

Art supplies and DIY project needs have skyrocketed in the past few months, Verus notes. Many Australians find additional time to develop and learn new artistic skills.

Supporting local companies in compliance with the rules

Orders for take-away and food packaging have increased significantly. Grocery boxes, napkins and cutlery saw a massive increase in sales like never before. This means that the Australians abide by the rules and eat as much as possible at home.

To work from home

No wonder, but stationery sales have increased as many Australians work from home throughout COVID, including pens, paper, and notebooks.

The Australians stay clean

Again, quite predictably, the amount of ethanol and hand sanitizer that comes to Australia is unlike anything Verus has ever seen before. The Australians remain clean and redeveloped.
