To raise awareness of the Mental Health Organization R U OK? To sharpen, Byron Bay Cookies is renaming its best-selling milk choc chunk cookie.
In 2018, the Byron Bay Cookie Company proudly supported the Australian charity. The charity focuses on preventing suicide by inspiring and empowering everyone to meaningfully connect with people around them and to support everyone who struggles with life.
A portion of the proceeds from each cookie sold is donated to R U OK. before R U OK? Day on Thursday, September 10th.
The co-branding cookie was baked so that it's easy to split it in half and share it with a friend, family member, or work colleague. The biscuits will be available in selected cafes and Coles Express petrol stations from mid-June and in selected Coles supermarkets from August.
The shared cookies can also be purchased from ruok.org.au from the end of June.
"We look forward to working with Byron Bay Cookies again," says the CEO of R U OK? Katherine Newton.
"Sharing a cup of coffee and a treat is a good opportunity to start a meaningful conversation in a pleasant and relaxed way."
Emilie Edmond, Marketing Manager at Byron Bay Cookie Company, explains: “R U OK? is one thing that means a lot to us as a brand and our team and we are happy to bake the R U OK? Cookie again this year.
"We encourage all of our cookie lovers to stay connected by asking a simple question: Are you okay?"
The limited version R U OK? Byron Bay Cookies will be available at ruok.org.au at the end of June at a retail price of $ 42 for a box of 12 individually wrapped cookies.
