Procter & Gamble (P&G) today announced the appointment of Kumar Venkatasubramanian (Kumar) as Vice President and Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand.
Kumar enters the role with extensive sales experience and creates growth and leadership in categories after previously leading a team of over 200 employees.

He joined P & G's sales department in India in 2000 and successfully led a large expansion project for sales.
Another notable success for Kumar was the completion of an international order for P&G in Brazil.
Most recently, Kumar was Sales Director and Oral Care Commercial Leader at P & G India.

Kumar will succeed Vivek Gupta, who will leave P&G for family reasons after more than 20 years.
"I would also like to pay tribute to the leadership and outstanding contribution of my colleague and friend Vivek Gupta, who has led P&G Australia and New Zealand through a period of great success and built a strong and capable organization," said Kumar.
