Thanks to a new partnership, SPAR customers in Italy can now receive their groceries within 35 minutes.
The “Quick Commerce” service of the regional SPAR Italy operator Maiora and the multi-category home delivery platform Glovo ensure a fast delivery service seven days a week during shop opening hours.
The partnership currently includes 16 DESPAR, EUROSPAR and INTERSPAR stores in 12 cities. By the end of the year, this number is expected to increase to 21 branches in 14 cities.
According to Maiora, the service enhances the company's e-commerce platform, DESPAR A Casa.
"SPAR is committed to expanding its omnichannel solutions to meet changing shopping patterns," the company says. "Today's customers are increasingly choosing to deliver not just restaurant meals, but grocery shopping as well."
Maiora DESPAR Centro Sud CRM and E-Commerce Manager Alessandro Pugliese says the agreement with Glovo will allow Maiora to expand its digital touchpoints and improve the daily shopping experience for existing and potential customers.
