INTERNATIONAL
Eight years after its founding, KAI (Klopman Argo International, Klopman's joint venture with Argo Manunggal Textile), which is to serve the Asian market with its own production in a new plant in Jakarta, has reached an important milestone.
The Indonesian production site, which mimics the success of the Frosinone plant, has now received the highest level (level 3) of STeP certification from Oeko-Tex®. This is a system specially designed for the textile supply chain to ensure environmentally friendly use of technologies and products, efficient use of resources and the adoption of working conditions in line with the highest international standards.
The STeP certification for sustainable textile production guarantees the same quality and the same attention to the environment as in the Klopman factory in Fresinone, Italy. STeP certification, an acronym for Sustainable Textile & Leather Production, is further evidence of Klopman's ongoing commitment to sustainability, which enables the company to offer the same standards of quality and social responsibility to its customers around the world that are communicated transparently and more effectively.
"This is an important milestone that shows how much sustainability is part of Klopman's DNA today, regardless of the geographic area in which the company operates," said Amaury Sartorius, CEO of Klopman, pictured above. "We are very pleased with the results that have been achieved with KAI since our adventure in Asia began, and we will continue our mission to offer customers in Asia the same technical and quality standards that are offered in Europe, with a particular focus on social issues Aspects and ecological commitment. "
"The highest level of STeP certification is never given lightly and proves the level of quality that has been achieved in our Jakarta plant," added Elke Bissdorf, Product Manager at Klopman. “Customers in the Asian market can count on yet another reason to choose Klopman products. They ensure that they are not only manufactured in the name of quality and innovation, but also use production processes that respect both the environment and workers. This is also underlined by the "MADE IN GREEN LABEL from OEKO-TEX®", which can be made available to our customers. This traceable product label guarantees that an item has been tested for harmful substances and manufactured using sustainable processes under socially responsible working conditions. "
