A new line of plant-based dairy products is on the block (shelf) and pride themselves on their taste, versatility and sustainability.
NuYu, made in South Australia, includes a range of almond, oat, macadamia, cashew and pistachio milks with a shelf life of 9 months.
"We're excited to bring people a healthy range of plant-based milks that are 90% Australian ingredients and using 100% Australian oats, almonds and macadamias," said Amelia Wright, Assistant Brand Manager at NuYu.
According to a CSIRO survey, 74% of people currently avoiding milk and dairy products do so because of gastrointestinal problems.
"People who choose a milk alternative will see this as a positive decision and feel confident that there is no compromise on quality, function or taste. Why settle for the good when you can feel great?" continues Mrs. Wright.
The NuYu range does not contain any additional colors, sweeteners or artificial flavors. It's also GMO-free and has a 3.5-star health rating for almonds, macadamia, and cashews, and 4-stars for pistachios and oats.
"The NuYu range is versatile and encourages different uses to suit personal health or taste preferences."
Ms. Wright says, "Almond, cashew, and macadamia are considered 'barista mixes,' which means they are formulated to foam well and mix well with coffee, while pistachios work best in hot chocolates and chais."
In addition, NuYu is actively working to make packaging sustainable by switching to a material that is at least 30% recycled plastic (RPET).
"We are excited about bridging the gap between chilled and ambient vegetable milk, and we pride ourselves on offering versatility, functionality, convenience and sustainability."
NuYu Plant Milks are available for a lifetime from independent retailers, IGAs, Foodworks, Foodlands and Drakes.
