The kitchen is an important part of the house. Housewives have to spend a few hours there every day. Many even prefer to sit in the kitchen for breakfast and lunch. It's a small room where you have to manage a lot of small things. If you make a mistake in designing the kitchen, you will have to live with it for the rest of the life you have spent in this house. Here I have given some useful advice to avoid such mistakes.

Design a virtual kitchen

It will help you meet all your expectations if you can visualize the entire design with every detail of the kitchen. However, not all of us have this photographic memory to carry out such planning. Try designing a virtual 3D kitchen with Kaboodle. This way, you can make any changes to the soft copy until you get what you want and then invest in it.

Features before design

The kitchen should be attractive, but make sure that the function takes precedence over the design. These beautiful tiles are of no help if you cannot store anything or cook in the kitchen. It is best to first think about the things you need to store and how to access them. Everything should be as close to you as possible to minimize the effort.

Think from a storage perspective

The most important function of the kitchen would be storage. You need to keep a stove, microwave, probably a refrigerator, and many other foods. Think about how and where everything is stored so that it is easily accessible. It also depends on the things you keep there as many people use a different storage room. You should think about it from the perspective of a chef who will actually work there.

Make sure you have enough light

There should be more than enough light in the kitchen. If you can't see clearly, you may be mixing things into your food that shouldn't be there. The light you have over the stove or food may not be enough. Be sure to try lighting up at night. If you think that the brightness is insufficient, replace it or insert new lamps. Don't put all the lightbulbs aside. Use it in all directions.

Plan space for garbage

If there is food and work in the kitchen, there will obviously be garbage. You cannot hold the dust container open and in front of you. Nobody would like to eat or cook when they see garbage. Leave some space in one corner where you can store the dust container.

Non-slip kitchen

Tiles are usually slippery. It has become a fashion to use them in the kitchen, but there is a risk of them falling off. The type of room kitchen is, it could cause some serious injuries. Don't forget to use non-slip tiles or make the floor non-slip later.
