Crown Health Care Laundry Services re-certifies five laundries for Hygienically Clean Healthcare, focusing on processes, third-party validation and results-based testing.
Crown Health Care Laundry Services, the Pensacola, Florida-based, independent full-service laundry and laundry company that has been operating in the southeastern United States for more than 60 years, has recently renewed its Hygienically Clean Healthcare certification for its laundries qualified in these locations: Selma, Alaska; Lakeland and Pensacola in Florida; Quitman, Georgia, and; Bishopville, South Carolina.
The renewed certifications reflect their continued commitment to laundry best management practices (BMPs), which have been verified by on-site inspection, and their ability to produce hygienically clean textiles as quantified by ongoing microbial testing. The organization's locations in Columbia, Miss., And Spartanburg, South Carolina, are also Hygienically Clean Healthcare certified laundries.
The Hygienically Clean Healthcare certification confirms the company's continued commitment to infection prevention, compliance with recognized industry standards, and processing of health textiles using BMPs, as described in the quality assurance documentation. This is a focus for the assessment of the Hygienically Clean inspectors. The independent third party inspection must also confirm material evidence that:
• The employees are trained and protected accordingly
• Managers understand the legal requirements
• OSHA compliant
• The physical system works effectively
"Congratulations to Crown Health Care Laundry Services for their recertification," said Joseph Ricci, President and CEO of TRSA. "This achievement shows their commitment to infection prevention and that their laundry is taking all possible steps to prevent human diseases."
