With the reopening of businesses, a council has taken a proactive step to help local businesses open the shutters to the “new normal”. Cheryl and Brendan Duffy, of the Acorns of Lancashire wet cleaning specialist in Accrington, explained the considerations behind the #Think Hyndburn council campaign.
“Our local council made a video promoting the return to the high street after the blockade. This message comes primarily from the chairman of our local council, Miles Parkinson, and the representative for Hyndburn and Haslingden, Sara Britcliffe, ”said Brendan Duffy.
“While it is a great profile for our company, it also supports local independent companies in the region. This also reflects the efforts that we had to make to protect our customers and employees. "
Cheryl Duffy said: "We have a cleaning station (disinfection station) for customers, parasols and social distancing." She added that she hoped the video would encourage people to shop locally, stay on site, and recycle the pound locally.
Sarah Britcliffe MP said it was only right to support companies that had supported the government and local council in their actions during the pandemic closure.
