With the corona virus crisis shaking economies worldwide and blocking many parts of the world, there has been a lot of information on prevention.
For example, Olfa Garsaa, area manager of Ecolab in France, has 13 customers she visits regularly, including three locations that have recently requested urgent help from Ecolab to implement virucidal programs to disinfect contaminated laundry.
In just three days, the French team from Ecolab was able to react and cover a total of 15 locations to ensure the proper implementation of the virucidal washing processes. It was an example of employees who came together to help a customer during a crisis. "My colleague Jean-Marc visited two customer sites when I had to stay at home with my son," said Olfa. "Then I was able to manage the third intervention for another customer over the phone."
Employees are sometimes at the forefront, such as when Olfa intervened at another customer location: a hospital in Paris's thirteenth arrondissement that treats confirmed cases of Covid-19. In addition to implementing a virucidal certified wash program that has proven effective in cleaning contaminated laundry, the additional challenge is to comply with strict water temperature regulations that can be drained.
It is times like these that demonstrate the true value of remote monitoring systems like enVision that monitor and enable dose changes remotely. Olfa explained how she could use the program to change the dosage for one of her customers.
The Ecolab Textile Care team in France responds to every call and responds quickly, whether it is a personal emergency visit on site, expert telephone instructions, a remote monitoring program or a combination of three. Laundry customers are adapting their services to the new normal and Ecolab supports them every day in keeping their businesses going – which is crucial for combating this virus.
