Woolworths has announced a new bakery lineup for Easter that is said to blend “iconic flavours with fun, shareable formats”.
Among the new additions, launching in-store tomorrow (11 March), are:
- Betty the Bunny Cake ($30). A vanilla and chocolate sponge “showstopper” finished with strawberry buttercream. It comes with ready-to-assemble ears, nose, and paws for “maximum family fun”.
- Carrot Cake Trifle ($22). This trifle features layers of carrot cake, cream cheese mousse, and dulce de leche, topped with choc honeycomb and walnuts.
The retailer is also welcoming back some crowd favourites, including:
- Easter Mini Dessert Selection ($25). 20 bite-sized treats including hot cross bun-flavoured cheesecakes and fudgy brownies.
- DIY Easter Cookie Kit ($11). A 12-pack “holiday hack” with icing and piping bags – “perfect for keeping kids entertained”.
“We’ve leant into the iconic flavours of the season to deliver fun new treats that are about more than just taste – they’re about creating a moment,” says Woolworths Bakery Merchandise Manager Donald Keith.
“From the spiced sweetness of our Carrot Cake Trifle to the Betty the Bunny Cake, these are truly shareable treats.
“What we love about Betty is that she’s a bit of a DIY project; with the ears, nose, and paws ready to assemble at home, it’s a way for kids to get involved in the kitchen and put a showstopper on the table they can be proud of.”
