ITALY
Klopman, a leading European company in the manufacture of protective fabrics, offers its know-how to produce up to 700,000 protective masks per month that can be sterilized and reused up to 50 times. Due to its ability to manufacture fabrics for the medical and health sector, the company has been included in the list of the most important companies for Italy.
The masks consist of a double layer of fabric to ensure maximum protection and comfort in contact with the nose and mouth. A first batch of 10,000 masks will be donated to the Frosinone Health Department and the Fabrizio Spaziani Hospital. Thanks to a specially designed supply chain, the company can quickly respond to the needs of public and private operators.
In order to ensure a barrier effect with low particle release, the masks are made from a very solid fabric construction with 100% polyester for the outer shell. The Vectron 8200 fabric, which due to its properties is normally used in electronics, clean rooms and hospitals, is an extremely robust fabric with a hydro / oil-repellent surface for washing in households and in industry at 75 ° C.
Inside, the breathability is guaranteed by solutions made of polyester / cotton, which not only guarantee comfort and breathability, but also mechanical properties and durability.
According to Alfonso Marra, CEO of Klopman: “The know-how from over 50 years of experience and the professionalism of our employees have enabled us to produce a range of masks that were entirely made in Italy in record time and are superior in performance to the disposable masks that are widely used in hospitals today. Italy, like many European countries, pays the price for the mass market of single-use devices that are difficult to deliver today.
"The increasing demand and the extreme emergency that our hospitals are facing today have prompted us to make our contribution. We have been offering fabrics for this market for years and today we are restructuring our production capacity to meet the needs of our apparel manufacturers, who have increased the production of clothing for doctors and medical personnel. At the same time, we wanted to develop ready-to-use solutions that save time and valuable resources without compromising on security. "
