KitKat provides Aussies a candy escape

KitKat is giving its fans the chance to have a break in the KitKat Christmas Cabin, in partnership with Booking.com.

With the final touches added by social media stars Josh and Matt, the cabin is decked out to look like the KitKat Christmas Cabin Kit.

“From a giant KitKat finger and Smartie pillows to a personalised cabin creation station, it’s sure to feel like a sweet escape,” says the chocolate brand.

Located in Newport, a suburb of northern Sydney, the beachfront sanctuary has its own private beach access, a swimming pool, and three bedrooms.

“Valued at $4650 for a two-night stay, it’s the perfect place to unwind and take a break with the family over the summer break,” says KitKat.

Nestlé Head of Marketing Confectionery Melanie Chen says KitKat is all about having quality breaks with friends and family, especially around the festive period.

“This year, we released the KitKat Cabin Kit with an Aussie summer theme because what’s better than bonding with others by the beach?” she says.

“With nearly two-thirds of (surveyed) Aussies (61%) admitting their family is busy in the lead-up to Christmas, and unable to spend time together (50%), we wanted to create a real-life KitKat Christmas Cabin by the beach to inspire families to have a break from the busy festive period. Better yet, have a break while building a unique and personalised KitKat Cabin Kit together.”

For a chance to win the “ultimate” Christmas break at the KitKat Christmas Cabin, Australians need to buy a KitKat Cabin Kit and create their own cabin with friends or family. Participants need to upload their completed Aussie-themed KitKat Christmas Cabin Kit to their Instagram main feed with the hashtag #KitKatCabinComp and tag @kitkatanz by 11.59pm AEDT on 5 December.

The KitKat Christmas Cabin Kit is available to purchase now at all major retailers (RRP $30).
