Flour and bakery producer reveals purpose-built distribution centre

As construction of Allied Pinnacle’s new purpose-built Victorian facility concludes and the doors set to open, the leading flour and bakery manufacturer has marked the occasion with a ceremonial cherry blossom planting and ribbon cutting.

Symbolising its partnership with Japanese group company, Nisshin Seifun Group, the event celebrates the new facility as a key milestone in Allied Pinnacle’s commitment to growth and innovation.

The Ravenhall Distribution Centre, now Allied Pinnacle’s largest footprint nationwide, will play a key role in distributing flour and bakery goods, servicing several Australian states and territories including Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania.

Joining Nisshin’s board members in attendance were Allied Pinnacle CEO David Pitt, State Member for Kororoit Luba Grigorovitch MP, Melton City Council Mayor Cr Kathy Majdlik, Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Cambridge Ward, Consul for the Consulate-General of Japan (Victoria) Mr Naoyasu Kawamura, and members of the extended Allied Pinnacle team.

State Member for Kororoit Ms Luba Grigorovitch MP said: “It’s fantastic to see Allied Pinnacle making such a significant contribution to the local community. The Ravenhall Distribution Centre will provide valuable jobs and opportunities, helping to boost the region’s economy. I commend Allied Pinnacle for its commitment to innovation and sustainability and I’m proud to see Victoria play such a central role in Australia’s food manufacturing industry.”

Providing a valuable boost to the Victorian economy, the site which officially opens for operations on 18 November, will be home to a range of jobs across logistics, warehousing and administrative positions, whilst also supporting local suppliers and service providers.

“This new Distribution Centre enables Allied Pinnacle to continue to deliver world-leading innovation and meet the needs of its customers and Australian consumers while strengthening Victoria’s position as a key player in the national food manufacturing industry.”

The distribution centre features a test kitchen for customers, integrated fit out, corporate office, 39m hardstand, super awning for all weather loading, 16.8m ridge height for vertical expansion and integrated sustainability measures.
