With the introduction of Gatorade No Sugar, Gatorade expands the mix with new innovations.
This addition was developed by the Gatorade Sports Science Institute. Eric Burke, Gatorade Brand Manager, explains, “Being dehydrated by as much as 2% of your body weight * can affect your exercise performance and focus.
"We are excited to offer a new sports hydration product for those looking for a sugar-free option."
In 2018, PepsiCo ANZ, the maker of Gatorade, joined the Australian Beverages Council's pledge to commit to reducing sugar by an average of 20% across the industry by 2025.
Wendy Jeffrey, Nutritionist at PepsiCo ANZ, says, “Gatorade No Sugar targets a new breed of active consumer who exercise at low to moderate levels of intensity, while the original Gatorade is more suited to longer duration and higher intensity activities.
“The Gatorade range is backed by science and is individually tailored to the needs of all consumers, from athletes to top athletes. Gatorade is designed to speed rehydration and give consumers the best possible performance. "
The new range is available in three flavors: Glacier Freeze, Berry, and Orange 600ml for an MSRP of $ 3.65.
They are available in Coles and on the P&C channel. The product will be available in all channels from April.
