The plant-based meat company v2food is reinventing the summer BBQ season with the introduction of v2sausages.
The new product follows the success of the company's v2mince and v2burgers, which were launched in Coles, Woolworths and Drakes supermarkets last year. V2food also makes the Rebel Whopper for Hungry Jacks.
"Turn your hooks this summer and throw a v2 sausage at the burner," says Nick Hazell, founder and CEO of v2food.
“Whether you're trying to cut down on the meat to save the planet or just curious about plant-based meats, v2 makes it easy and accessible for Aussies to try it out without missing out on the flavors they know and love . "
V2 sausages are said to have been "expertly made" with a mixture of soy protein, coconut oil, onions, garlic, thyme and parsley.
For a limited time only, this product is available at select Coles nationwide for $ 9 in a pack of eight.
According to Hazell, v2 sausages are a natural evolution for the company.
“Snags are synonymous with the Australian summer BBQ season and we wanted to offer meat lovers and plant-based enthusiasts a new alternative,” he says.
“Our mission is to help consumers make better choices, one sausage at a time, for their health and the health of the planet. Packed with protein and the goodness of plants, our hooks are delicious enough to trade We don't think you'll tell the difference between ours and a beef sausage. "
