South Australians are once again being called on to support their favourite local food and beverage businesses, with public voting now open for the 2025 Consumer Choice Award, part of the South Australian Premier’s Food and Beverage Industry Awards.
Proudly sponsored by Foodland Supermarkets, the Consumer Choice Award gives everyday consumers the chance to recognise the brands they love – those that manufacture outstanding products, memorable experiences and consistently strong customer service.
Voting is open to the public and helps determine the Top 20 finalists and ultimately two winners: one from a business with fewer than 15 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees, and one from a business with more than 15 FTEs. Winners will be revealed at the highly anticipated Gala Dinner in November.
In 2024, Mike’s Beef Jerky took out the award in the small business category (less than 15 FTEs), while iconic South Australian brand Haigh’s Chocolates claimed the win in the large business category (more than 15 FTEs).
Food South Australia CEO Tori Dixon-Whittle said the award is a unique way to highlight the value of community support and brand loyalty in the industry.
“This category celebrates the deep connections local food and beverage businesses have with their customers. It’s a great way for the public to get involved and show their support, and for businesses to be recognised for their impact,” Ms Dixon-Whittle said.
Voting is quick and free, and runs from Monday 28 July to 5pm, Monday 29 September 2025.
Food South Australia proudly manages this annual awards program with the support of the Government of South Australia through the Department of State Development.
