Dine expands sustainable providing

Cat food brand Dine, part of the Mars Incorporated family of brands, is further expanding its Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certification with the launch of Dine Fillets with Sustainable Tuna.

The launch is said to cement its position as the leading cat food brand available at Coles Supermarkets with the MSC blue fish label.

The MSC blue fish tick label on a product means that the fish comes from an MSC certified sustainable fishery and is kept separate from non-certified seafood at all times. Globally recognised for its rigorous environmental standards, MSC-certified fisheries undergo annual independent assessments to evaluate their impact on wild fish populations and the marine ecosystem.

Camille Shepherd, Mars Petcare Australia Marketing Director for Dine, says the partnership with the MSC reflects Dine’s dedication to offering pet owners a product they can feel good about, knowing it’s been sourced with care and responsibility.

“As consumers become increasingly aware of their environmental footprint, we strongly believe that feeding your cat should never come at the expense of the environment,” she said.

“Cats deserve delicious food that helps preserves the planet’s resources and these new Dine Fillets do both.”

Anne Gabriel, MSC Program Director for Oceania and Singapore, says millions of Aussie cats are now able to join our mission to end overfishing.

“By expanding their range of MSC certified pet food, Dine continues to lead the way in giving pet parents ocean friendly choices,” she said.

“Sales of these products directly support fisheries who protect the ocean environment and ensure there are plenty more fish for our furry friends in the future.”

Dine Fillets with Sustainable Tuna are now available at Coles as part of the new Fillet range which includes Dine Fillets Natural Shredded Chicken, and Dine Fillets with Tuna and Prawn with RRP of $2.30 for a single serve.
