Dare has unveiled two new brews with no added sugar, No Sugar Added (NSA) Intense Espresso and Double Espresso Protein.
First launched by the brand in 2019, Dare’s NSA range represents 21% of all Dare unit sales and has generated more than $21 million in retail sales value in the last year (Circana, AU Convenience Scan and AU Unweighted Grocery, MAT to 22/9/24).
With research identifying sugar as the number one barrier to consumption in the iced coffee category (Q.Checkout, Customer Cross Shop, Repertoire 4/4/23), Dare says it recognises the importance of expanding on its NSA offerings to accommodate consumers looking for a no sugar added caffeinated beverage.
Combining Dare’s growing NSA range with its “strongest Dare yet”, NSA Intense Espresso has been designed for iced coffee lovers who need that extra kick without the added sugar. Intense Espresso takes Dare’s coffee bean intensity scale to the “next level”, delivering the “ultimate kick for those early morning wake ups”.
Similarly to NSA, the protein category has demonstrated popularity amongst Australian consumers with continued growth in the mainstream markets (Circana MarketEdge Grocery Scan, MAT to 31/3/24), including the milk-based beverage protein segment which has seen 88% growth in the last year (Circana, Grocery Unweighted Scan, Litres Growth vs YA, MAT to 28/7/24).
Launching in Double Espresso, Dare Protein contains 30g of protein and Rainforest Alliance certified Arabica and Robusta coffee. With no sugar added, Dare’s protein offering provides consumers with a “full and focused mental fix for lunch time slumps and 3pm pick me ups”.
Dare Protein and NSA Intense Espresso will be available in Woolworths, convenience and independents from 4 November and in Coles from 11 November.
