Coles is offering Australians a floral and wine promotion this Valentine’s Day.
Customers who spend $20 or more on florals in-store at Coles and scan their Flybuys will receive $5 off wine in-store at Liquorland (minimum wine spend of $10 applies). To keep the love flowing this Valentine’s Day, the promotion is available until Tuesday, 20 February for belated celebrations.
The retailer expects to sell over 100,000 single long stem red roses which are available for $10. Larger rose options include a 6 Red Rose Bouquet for $30 and 12 Red Rose Bouquet for $50.
Those less traditional, says Coles, can treat loved ones to modern floral arrangements, with the Tulip 8 stem bunch a popular option at $22. For an added touch, customers can pick up a Foil Heart Balloon for $3 or Squeezer Pal Plushie toy for $6.
Other floral options include a Signature Bouquet for $25, or long-lasting Potted Orchids starting from $25.
Chocolate
Customers can also purchase boxes of chocolate from their favourite brands at half price.
This includes Ferrero Rocher Heart Chocolate Gift Box 100g for $7 and Lindt Lindor Chocolate Heart Tin 147g or Cadbury Roses 420g, both at $9.
Cooking at home
More than one in two Coles customers surveyed who are planning to celebrate Valentine’s Day will do so from the comfort of their home.
The retailer says it has convenient solutions that will make a lasting impression.
“With a romantic treat for every meal of the day starting with breakfast in bed featuring Coles Pikelets 8-pack for just $2.50 or Coles Bakery Pancakes 5-pack down from $4 to $3 (available in selected stores),” it says.
“An evening romantic spread can start with Coles Fresh Cooked Australian Black Tiger Prawns XL on special at $30/kg until Tuesday, 13 February, paired perfectly with Sensi Prosecco DOC 18K Gold for $20.
“A cozy night in isn’t complete without a cheese board, with customers able to pick up Little Entertainers Mersey Valley, Tasmanian Heritage or South Cape Cheese 80g at 3 for $12 that can be enjoyed alongside award-winning Rapaura Springs Reserve Sauvignon Blanc down to $16 from $21.”
For those who planned ahead, customers could order “great value” pre-made Platters from the deli starting from $15 or opt for Coles Made Easy dining solutions for two.
Wine
Coles Liquor General Manager of Customer Loyalty Mia Lloyd says sparkling wine is the perfect complement for Australians looking to share a romantic evening with that special someone.
“Wine is its own love language and what better way to bond with your partner than with a toast to your love. For couples popping open a bottle together this Valentine’s Day, Liquorland has hundreds of delicious tasting drops for under $25,” she says.
“Savvy customers looking for an alternative to champagne can save by purchasing local sparkling like the Ovation Brut Cuvée which is sourced from vineyards in the Adelaide Hills and is currently half price at just $20 until Tuesday, 23 April.
“For gifting options that’ll make your loved one blush, you can’t go past the Winton Road Barossa Valley Rosé which comes in giftbox at just $18 or for the gin-lover in your life, Mayfair’s award-winning Pink Gin 700ml is a winner at $50.”
