Romeo opens second locali retailer

Romeos Retail Group has launched its new Locali by Romeos IGA on Wynyard Place in Sydney.

Romeo's new, European-inspired Fresh Store opened on October 26th and is the retailer's third store in Sydney in the past eight months. The group's first locali-store opened on George Street in March, followed by a Romeo’s Food Hall IGA at the Locomotive Workshop in South Everleigh in April.

The newest store on Brookfield Place in Wynyard Station is said to be a "Destination Shop" for the CBD community, commuters and international travelers. It offers all the attributes of the Locali concept such as a walk-in cheese room, a salumi bar, a sushi bar, a pizzeria, an Italian-inspired restaurant and bar, a flower shop, a bakery and an extensive range of groceries, dairies and frozen products. In addition, the Wynyard Place Store houses a walk-in grocery room, carvery, and Dry Aged Beef Room.

Romeo Retail Group owner and director Joseph Romeo says the store is captivating consumers with its energetic ambiance and world-class decor, adding that it has definitely raised the bar in the industry.

“The store has a big focus on in-restaurant prepared meals that are prepared and cooked on site,” he says.

"In addition, the ready-to-go range is complemented by a comprehensive category of plant-based, organic, gluten-free and healthy foods that really suit busy and healthy consumers who want to eat well and cheaply."

Mr. Romeo adds: “The family planned and implemented the Locali concept in a unique way with years of experience, knowledge from international travel and, above all, with passion. We really wanted to give the City of Sydney and the CBD community a piece of Europe and a local hub to meet all of their shopping and dining needs. ”
