Waving with drinks

As in the run-up to last summer, Australians are approaching the coming warm season with uncertainty.

With restrictions and border closings across the country at the time of writing, it's difficult to determine what the months ahead – generally packed with travel and partying – will bring.

Anyway, Retail World has compiled The Beverage Guide with advice from beverage brands and insights into their plans for the summer.

We have put together a few highlights from the guide below.

Sanpellegrino

Sanpellegrino's sales are expected to increase by 35% in the summer.

With this in mind, Brand Manager Damian Giorgini explains that Sanpellegrino will be running campaigns in stores during this time to ensure that the company will capture its market share.

"In addition, we use a number of digital and non-digital media platforms to build brand awareness for our products, which is driving demand and driving traffic to our retailers' stores and e-commerce sites," he says.

“Another focus is on events and sponsorships, where we want to increase our brand presence at important food and / or lifestyle events by activating brands, giving consumers the opportunity to find out more about our product, but above all, give them a try she from."

Naked life

Summer is a "vital time" for soft drinks, says David Andrew, founder of The No Nasties Project.

"In particular, if the lockdown is lifted around November (in some parts of the country), an additional influx of social gatherings can be expected that goes into the Christmas season," he says. "We are proud to offer Australians an alcohol-free alternative for their upcoming celebrations."

Koko & Karma

The functional coconut water brand Coco Luxe has been renamed Koko & Karma.

"Koko & Karma was the manifestation of achieving my true purpose for the business, which is to create high quality products without compromising our commitment to the planet and people," says founder Jodie Evins.

“We have spent 18 months choosing our new canning supplier who can uphold our commitment to the farmers we source our raw materials from and the rights and working conditions of factory workers. We now have infinitely recyclable packaging, offset the CO2 emissions – and are 1% committed to environmental purposes. "

Koko & Karma 250ml cans are available from this month in the variants Prebiotic Coconut Water with Lychee, Sparkling Hemp Coconut Water with Apple & Lychee and Collagen Coconut Water with Acai.

Broth & Co

Broth & Co co-founder Nellie Procopiou says summer is a “perfect time” to introduce IQ.N Intelligent Nutrition's collagen powders to your beverage offering.

"The beauty and weight loss benefits of collagen are well known, and summer is the perfect time to promote them," says Ms. Procopiou. "It's the time when we all want to look particularly good."

IQ.N Intelligent Nutrition's Collagen Beauty offering includes Healthy Glow Collagen Beauty Powder (supposedly made from grass-fed beef collagen) and Skin Glow Marine Collagen Beauty Powder for a "refreshing" drink, as well as a range of natural bars.
