Mrs Mac’s presents bakery vary on the AFL Grand Closing

Mrs Mac’s will use the AFL Grand Final this Saturday at the Optus Stadium to present its new range of bakery products.

The brand will give fans the opportunity to “refuel with a combination of golden puff pastry and chunky beef fillings braised into pâté”.

Jonathan Moss, CEO of Mrs. Mac, says the company takes great pride in serving its cakes to a sold out crowd on Grand Final day at Optus Stadium.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for 60,000 hungry football fans to enjoy our new and improved range,” he says.

“It is an honor to be part of a historic moment for Western Australia where Mrs Mac & # 39; s was founded in 1954 – and it continues the proud tradition of our family run bakery that has played a vital role in making the humble cake one a national icon that is an integral part of the matchday experience. "

Mrs Mac’s also hired comedian Peter Rowsthorn to highlight the brand's role in the Grand Final with a “lighthearted and irreverent” social media campaign to run before the ricochet.

Commitment to sustainability

Mr. Moss says the limelight associated with the biggest showdown in football also gives Ms. Mac an opportunity to demonstrate her commitment to sustainability.

The new range includes palm oil-free pastries and uses "clean recipes", free of artificial flavors and colors, with ingredients from sustainable cultivation. Mrs Mac’s also recently switched its entire multipack range to 100% recyclable cardboard packaging.

“Our goal is not only to offer football fans tasty food, but also a good feeling,” says Moss.

“Although we are steeped in tradition, with a long and proud history, we are passionate about sustainability and sourcing the best ingredients from Australian farmers and suppliers.

“We use 100% Australian beef, chicken, bacon and pork and 100% Australian wheat. We are also the only Australian savory pastry maker with BRC Global Certification, one of the highest food safety standards available. "

Mrs Mac’s has had exclusive delivery rights for pies and sausage rolls in the Optus Stadium since the venue opened in 2018.
