CVR Uniforms renews the Hygienically Clear FS certification

NORTH AMERICA

CVR Uniforms of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania recently qualified for the renewal of Hygienically Clean Food Service certification. The achievement reflects the company's consistent commitment to laundry best management practices (BMPs), verified through on-site inspections, and their ability to produce hygienically clean fabrics, as quantified by ongoing microbial testing.

The certification, originally acquired in 2017, confirms a laundry's commitment to recognized industry standards and the use of BMPs as described in the quality assurance documentation, a focus for the evaluation of hygienically clean inspectors.

CVR has been in family management for over 50 years under three generations, serving central Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia. After family business Fry operated as a Newville / Shippensburg-based dry cleaner, their company was renamed Cumberland Valley Rentals in 1976 and renamed CVR Uniforms in 2013.The company uses multiple delivery options and gives customers the freedom to choose how and when their orders come in .

Hygienically clean third-party laundry controls confirm substantial evidence that:

  • The employees are trained and protected accordingly
  • Managers understand the regulatory requirements
  • OSHA compliant
  • The physical facility is working effectively

"Congratulations to CVR Uniforms for their continued best practices in earning the Hygienically Clean Food Service certification, ”said Joseph Ricci, President and CEO of TRSA. "Their performance shows their commitment to infection prevention and that laundry is taking all possible steps to prevent human diseases."
