More than one in three Australian households produced more packaging waste in the Covid barriers in 2020.
This despite every second consumer saying they are more concerned about product packaging waste than in 2019.
Pip Kiernan, Chair of Clean Up Australia Day, hopes March 7th (Clean Up Australia Day) will remind Australian households that there are a multitude of ways they can do their part for the environment.
"Last year we disrupted our lives immensely, not least our local environment, which was affected by the increasing consumption of single-use items," says Ms. Kiernan.
“We know Australians everywhere want to get involved and now they have the opportunity to officially register for Clean Up Australia Day 2021. In fact, getting involved and making a real difference has never been more important do."
Adds Mark Fenton, Managing Director of SodaStream, "Providing an affordable, convenient and effortless way to care for the planet, SodaStream reminds Aussies that a sustainable lifestyle can be easily incorporated into the activities and things you love."
