Maness adjustments to the function of liaison within the TRSA industry

TRSA has appointed Milliken manager Alan Maness as the industry liaison to ensure its membership in the linen, uniform and facility service industries. Maness started working for the club on March 1st.

In his new role, Maness will liaise with the Security Committee and the F&B / Hospitality Committee. He will also review the curriculum and assist in faculty selection for TRSA's Professional Management Institute (PMI) and Maintenance Management Institute (MMI), and work with a task force of subject matter experts to identify and approve test questions and self-study materials for TRSA develop maintenance manager certification program. Maness will also assist with member development and retention, and facilitate relationships with operators, supplier partners, and other associations and organizations to increase engagement and expand membership.

"Alan's experience provides TRSA with additional insights into improving membership value and adds expertise to its projects, including working with members, committees and task forces, and other industry-related organizations."

Maness recently retired after a 44 year career in textile manufacturing, human resources, sales and marketing. Prior to joining TRSA, he was Global Director of Sales and Marketing at Milliken & Co., Spartanburg, SC, where he led the Milliken Table Linen business for five years as the division's business manager. During his career at Milliken, he served with the association and served as chair of the TRSA marketing committee.
