This will prevent creases from forming after the curtains and drapes have been washed
This will prevent creases from forming after the curtains and drapes have been washed
How one:
- When washing washable curtains and drapes, they often get wrinkled even if you hang them up right away.
- This simple hack will prevent that from happening.
- Hang the curtains on the window while damp
- While the curtains are still damp, slide butter knives or other knives into the lower hem at each end. Be sure to use something that won't rust.
- The weight of the knives holds the fabric in place and smooths it
- Once the curtains are dry, simply remove the knives
- The curtains hang smoothly.
Warnings and Precautions:
Remember not to use anything that might leave rust on damp curtains
Linda says:
If you notice a crease after the curtains have dried, splash it with water and let it dry with the knives that weigh down the bottom of the curtains. Remove them when they are dry.
