Garnier launches a Buy One, Plant One initiative that will plant up to 8,000 trees to reduce CO2 emissions.
The initiative supports the International Year of Plant Health (IYPH) and is part of the “Greener Beauty” mission.
For every Garnier product bought nationwide in Coles supermarkets and Coles online from January 6th, Garnier supports the planting of a tree *.
The aim is to support a 29 hectare ecological restoration of an existing corridor between three national parks (Nightcap, Border Ranges and Mebbin) in Nimbin, NSW.
"Buy One, Plant One, is just one of the many initiatives we are implementing to combat greenhouse gas emissions," said Jane Hanger, Garnier's director of marketing.
"This initiative and our goal of achieving 100% climate-neutral industrial locations through the use of renewable energies by 2025 is part of our broader commitment to protect the planet for future generations."

Carbon Positive Australia is a Garnier partner and will facilitate planting on projects such as their location in Nimbin.
The planting will not only help to store up to 886 tons of CO2e (carbon dioxide), it will also improve the habitat for endangered species and improve biodiversity.
Climate activist, science communicator and Garnier ambassador Laura Well says, “We need more brands that are making more science-based, sustainable and solution-oriented business decisions.
"Garnier's goal of neutralizing carbon emissions from its industrial sites by 2025 is a realistic and laudable goal of keeping our planet healthy while educating other brands and consumers to encourage change."
