1. Carroll County, Virginia

4. Denver, Colorado
On March 1, 2014, 104 vehicles were involved in an accident on I-25. One woman was killed and 30 people injured. Buses were brought to the site to take people away because they couldn't leave in their cars. It took five hours to clear the street.
5. Coalinga, California
When a dust storm blew over I-5 on November 29, 1991, a serious accident occurred in which 104 vehicles were involved. There were 17 deaths and 114 injuries. This accident is one of the worst in the state's history because of the number of vehicles involved. It was reportedly caused by a sudden dust storm.
6. Fresno, California
Unfortunately, on November 3, 2007, two people died on Highway 99. At least nine tractor units were involved in the accumulation, which included 108 vehicles. At least 36 people were injured. One person was charged with drinking and driving, but fog was believed to be the cause of the buildup.
7. Grayling, Michigan
The New Year began in chaos when 114 cars were involved in an accident on December 31, 1998. This accident happened because of a white wall, a blanket of snow that suddenly appeared. The drivers did not know where to go, which resulted in a serious accident. Only one person was killed, but at least 50 people were injured.
8. San Antonio, Texas
On December 2, 1994, 127 vehicles were involved in an agglomeration on I-35. The drivers were surprised by the slippery roads caused by a rain storm. Although there were 67 injuries, no one died in the accident.
9. Stafford County, Virginia
Slippery roads and snow caused an accident with 131 cars on I-95 on February 22, 2001. The accident spanned three miles on the interstate. Drivers left their vehicles to get to safety when more cars crashed into others.
10. Mobile, Alabama
On March 20, 1995, 200 vehicles were involved in an accident on I-10. There was one fatality and 90 injuries in one of the worst accidents in the country. The accident occurred on a road across Mobile Bay. Fog is said to be the culprit for this accident. It's considered one of the top five worst pileups in America.
