A remote unified measurement solution that has been successfully used to size PPE and body armor has broader application to the unified rental sector and has obvious advantages in the age of social distancing from Covid-19. The XpertFit innovation takes the guesswork out of on-site measurement by providing instant and accurate measurements from a smart device. The process takes less than two minutes from technology introduction to product size confirmation.
Safariland and Flying Cross have partnered with 3DLOOK to bring a virtual sizing technology for body armor and uniforms called XpertFit. This virtual sizing technology is revolutionizing the process by which individual officers are dimensioned for body armor and uniform clothing. Safariland is a registered trademark of the Safariland Group, one of the world's leading providers of safety products. Flying Cross is a brand of the Fechheimer Brothers Company and the world leader in uniforms for public safety.
This virtual sizing technology is revolutionizing the process by which individual officers are dimensioned for body armor and uniform clothing. XpertFit offers a non-contact self-measurement method for recording body measurements directly from a mobile phone.
Nadya Movchan from 3DLOOK explained the benefits of the technology for unified rental companies. “The patented core technology behind 3DLOOK's non-contact body measurement solutions uses a combination of computer vision, neural networks and statistical 3D modeling to measure the human body. A customer takes two photos on each mobile device, front and side. The photos are then processed to provide landmarks on the user's body and create a unique 3D model for each user. This process takes up to 30 seconds.
“From there, the 3DLOOK solution suite can either generate personalized recommendations for fit and size, or provide the measurements required by bespoke companies to produce perfectly fitted, bespoke clothing, depending on the company's needs.
“As a result, apparel companies can offer perfectly fitting clothing without the need for offline adjustment or personal measurement, while delivering a safe and personal experience.
3DLOOK's solutions have been adopted by more than 50 brands, retailers and unitary companies around the world, including Tailored Brands, Burlington Medical, and Safariland and Fechheimer.
"This new sizing service reflects the level of innovation and depth of resources available to our customers as two leading industry brands," said Bob Getto, President / CEO of Fechheimer Brothers Company. “XpertFit offers our dealers and end users a value and an efficiency that they have never experienced before. In addition, XpertFit is the perfect solution in this time of social distancing. "
The new XpertFit technology will enter the first phase of its release in early December for a select group of retailers and customers and will be ready for full launch in the second quarter of 2021. This technology, launched for the first time, is exclusive to Safariland and Flying Cross through their participating partner dealers. XpertFit was developed in collaboration with 3DLOOK, the world's leading provider of contactless AI-First solutions for body measurement and adjustment.
"We have had the pleasure of working with the great teams at Fechheimer and The Safariland Group to deliver this first simple and accurate customization and sizing solution that provides a contactless and secure measurement experience. This is an important step in the digital world . " Transformation for the entire global unified manufacturing industry, ”said Vadim Rogovskiy, Co-Founder and CEO of 3DLOOK.
