Say cheese! To digital tastings

Gourmet cheese is hindering business, Cheese Therapy is experiencing a huge boom in virtual cheese tastings.

The Sunshine Coast-based company offers up to three virtual experiences per day as online meetings become increasingly popular.

"They say it's fabulous for those involved to get a taste of great Australian cheese that they have never tried before, regardless of where they are," says co-founder Sam Penny.

"Virtual cheese tastings help bring teams together when they feel a little isolated. They also give people the feeling of being part of something again, because in a virtual room they all share the same experience of tasting great cheese together.

"Our most popular tasting was just last week and we had 60 people from all over Australia."

Cheese therapy saw growth of up to 3600% in 2020.

"What we've really been able to do this year is to focus on and support these big little Australian cheesemakers and showcase their cheeses across Australia with deliveries from our Geelong warehouse to every corner of the country."

"The Australian spirit is all about help and the Australians have gone out of their way to help small Australian cheese makers in their need."
