Mornington Peninsula Brewery (MPB) launches its first non-alcoholic beer, Mornington Free.
Recent trends show that 46% of Australian men use less alcohol and this is predominantly seen among those over 40.
32% of beer drinkers say they simply want to lead a healthier lifestyle.
"In 2020 alone, people's drinking habits changed so much that there is a new demand for non-alcoholic alternatives that taste just as good as the original," says Rolan Thiemann, Head of Innovation at Tribe.
“The great thing about the way we created Mornington Free is that it is brewed with less than 0.5% alcohol, as opposed to traditional non-alcoholic beer brands that brew at higher strengths and then completely remove the alcohol together .
"The nice thing about our method is that it helps the beer maintain its crisp taste and is not a disappointment on the palette for beer lovers."
With statistics growing showing that consumers are drinking less, organizations like Dry July, The Mindful Drinking Festival, and Flow Festival are gaining momentum.
MPB is pleased to add Mornington Free Pale Ale to its range and offers an alternative solution.
Unlike lager, pale ales use aroma hops to give the beer a fruity taste. MPB believes it's the perfect variety of beer to transition to alcohol-free.
Mornington Free is available now from a number of independent retailers.
