Kona Cleaners claims to have been the top dry cleaner on Costa Mesa, south Cailfornia, since it opened in 1950. Pictured today, on the company's 70th anniversary, is Bobby Patel, who has owned and is responsible for the company since 1995. The brand's expansion from one to 17 locations in Orange County and the Inland Empire shows that it's longevity and the wealth of Kona Cleaners is due to many.
Patel, a well-known figure in the national cleaning industry, said, “Through hard work, dedication and persistence, Patel has become known as a well respected dry cleaner. This in turn has built a loyal customer base and a brand trust that the company enjoys to this day. "
“I came into the picture when my family bought Kona Cleaners in 1995 after I graduated from California State University in Long Beach. My main philosophy as the owner was to ensure that every element of the Kona Cleaners experience is 100% customer focused…That said, I insisted (and still insisted) putting myself in the customer's shoes in every conceivable situation. We did everything for every customer, as we do to this day, every time they walk through the door or use our pick-up and delivery service. This is an essential part of the continued success of Kona Cleaners. "
Patel stated, “With my engineering degree, I have been able to invest and reinvest in the very latest dry cleaning technology to improve our processes and provide a better customer experience. I firmly believe we have the best dry cleaning technology out there. “As a result, we now claim 17 Kona locations across SoCal and plan to continue expanding…Without sacrificing service, of course. "
