A plant-based snack assault from Tasti

Our New Zealand neighbor, Tasti, is launching two new plant-based snacks.

According to Sports Dietitians Australia, there are currently 2.5 million Australians on a plant-based diet. Herbivores are also looking for new snack options while they live life on the go.

"The number of Aussies educating themselves, turning away from snacks containing highly refined sugar and switching their diets with more plant-based meals and snacks has increased tremendously," said Jacqueline Alwill, Australian nutritionist and whole food chef.

Tasti uses plant-based proteins, probiotics, and superfood ingredients. The plant-based approach places an emphasis on high quality ingredients such as vegetables, fruits, whole grains, seeds and nuts.

While Protein + is filled with vegetable protein, Fruit + Vege is Australia's first apple-based lucky ball, made from real fruits and vegetables and with no added sugar.

“Fruit + Vege is a healthy, plant-based snack for lunch boxes with the main ingredients apple and sunflower seeds,” Ms. Alwill continues.

"On the other hand, it contains protein + vegetable protein, fiber, superfoods and probiotics, which help fuel the good bacteria in the gut and support digestive health."

Tasti's Fruit + Vege and Protein + are available now at your local Coles, Woolworths and independent grocers.
