eftpos introduces digital payment solutions for companies that want more choice and savings potential in the challenging COVID environment.
With the aim of helping Australian businesses and consumers, eftpos offers affordable and secure payment options and is now available to businesses that accept online card-on-file transactions from their customers.
"… we are excited to make progress in digital payments," said Stephen Benton, CEO of eftpos, who also mentions that dozens of Australian companies have already introduced eftpos card-on-file payments.
“It's early days, but the service will enable more and more small and medium-sized businesses to have Australia's most popular cards – multi-network debit cards – processed by eftpos and potentially achieve significant cost savings. These potential savings are especially important for small businesses during COVID-19 and the recovery.
"I urge small businesses using card payments to speak to their digital payment providers about turning the service on."
What is a card?
Card-on-file transactions are payments from a card that is securely held by the merchant or their payment system provider for periodic payments.
Phillip Britt, General Manager of Aussie Broadband, said, “We are very excited to turn on eftpos' digital payment solution. We believe this solution could potentially help Australian companies cut costs during these challenging times. "
Greg Fordred, CFO of Cluey Learning added, “As a rapidly growing online tutoring business, Cluey Learning needed an affordable, scalable payment method. We have now moved on to eftpos digital payments which we think is a great solution. "
